Hello!

First of all let me introduce myself, my name is Aina Brence and I set up Inseam Studios to support the growing sewing community and share the knowledge and skills I have gained over the years. I am passionate about all aspects of sewing and pattern cutting and I hope to share that with anyone else who has a love of this amazing craft.

I teach students in a studio, which is something that I really enjoy. I have set up this page to reach more people and share my sewing skills and knowledge.

So on my spree to reach thousands of people and encourage you to start making your own clothing and bring out your creative self, I welcome you to The Inseam Studios Blog!

What You’ll Find at Inseam Studios

Here you will be able to find weekly posts on various sewing techniques and garment finishing methods that will help you to develop your sewing skills and hopefully will be a good inspiration and guidance to get your sewing machine out.

Another exciting development we are working on is digital sewing patterns. When we first stated we didn’t realise how much work actually goes into making a digital sewing pattern and as it turns out a lot! We have decided to skip the traditional way of launching a range of garments and go ahead with adding new garments each month to keep if fresh and exciting! Sewing patterns will be coming to our blog in next few months and hopefully will be a great addition.

And on the last note how could I not mention The Great British Sewing Bee! I love the show and it has really reignited interest in sewing and craft. I think many people have a stereotype of ‘’sewing is not cool” and the show has help immensely to change it to “I want to learn it too”.
